Cooking style
My cooking style? If I had to sum it up in one word..... I would have to say... 'honest'. A lot of chefs like to chef it up and make the food overly pretentious and over the top. I believe the best food, is the food we know, can identify, and enjoy. Comfort foods with a professional look and feel is what the stomach wants.
Experience
A well rounded chef with nearly 2 decades of experience. I completed my 4 year apprenticeship to become a Journeyman and later, a Red Seal Chef. Received highest mark in Canada on Red Seal exam with award presented by the Prime Minister. I have been part of some of the most amazing kitchen teams in the province. I've developed amazing teams with great dynamic and built a great team and store culture. I took my apprenticeship under Rusty Penno and Steve Driver here in Saskatoon. Most recently I have been working at The Bulk Cheese Warehouse developing products for our store. I have developed great relationships with local suppliers as well as large wholesalers from across the country.
My favorite kitchen work is with pastry and desserts as well and soups and sauces, but I excel in all areas.
