Cooking style
Mezcla means mixture in Spanish, so I LOVE to be creative and try new concepts and techniques. I would say I am an eclectic mix of classic cuisine cooking styles and the opposite extreme to molecular gastronomy and playing with the chemistry side of food. To me, it's always about taste and presentation. You eat with your eyes first, but if it's not delicious, people will never come back.
Experience
I've been all around the world, literally. Born & raised in Syracuse NY. Fell in love with food in Salamanca, Spain during college. Moved to Denver and worked with Edible Beats Restaurant Group at Linger Eatuary, Apprentice at the Colorado Convention Center, managed countless café's, restaurants and now have my own Catering Business: Mezcla Maggie. I love to take part with huge conventions like the NYC Star Chef's working with sommelier Sara Moll and molecular gastronomy god José Andres; Catersource Las Vegas and even help smaller passionate businesses grow.
