Experience
Originally from Virginia, I began cooking when I was just a teenager in my mother's kitchen. Although previously on a back burner, my passion for cooking was reignited in 2018 and I began obtaining any education that would build my skills. I obtained my Pre-Commis Chef certification from the WorldChefs organization and once comfortable with my knowledge base began looking to prove myself in a professional kitchen. I was hired in 2019 as a line cook for the DoubleTree Hotel in El Paso under the direction of Chef Aaron Spring. Unfortunately, my tenure was cut short due to COVID mandates and restrictions. I spent the year and a half of lockdowns honing my skill sets and developing new skills with smoking and barbeque. Due to my obtained knowledge I was given the opportunity to work for the Famous Dave's corporation in the capacity of a line cook. While the corporate game has been an eye opening experience, my real passion is cooking good food for individuals and families while being able to provide a creative take on southern cooking.
