Cooking style
I like to cook comfort type foods but presented in more of a modern fashion - the type of food you could eat and enjoy every single day. Simple cooking executed with precision, quality ingredients, made with love and thought is the most important aspect of cooking for me. Fine dining, high end gastronomy, and innovative culinary experiences are special and unique in their own way but at the end of the day, simple food that is attached to a core memory, emotion, or life event that involves sharing, relationships, and community are the types of food that I am most passionate about cooking.
Experience
Nearly two decades of experience in almost all aspects of culinary and hospitality. From delis, cafes, take-out, casual grab-and-go; to hotels, events, banquets, and catering; to corporate chains, global restaurant/nightlife groups, and hyper seasonal fine-dining; from prep cook to executive chef/owner; and now specializing in personal / private chef experiences. Have been involved in building out new venues and businesses, establishing and implementing systems and SOP’s, and running all aspects of development and operations. Able to build, manage, lead and work in teams; but also able to be extremely resourceful, self-sufficient, work very independently; or even simply lend a helping hand wherever needed.
